Police & Justice Museum Sydney

Facinating insights into the history of policing and justice in Sydney centred on the former Phillips Street Police Station converted into a very well organised and interesting display venue. 29 members attended the tour through the beautiful sandstone original Water Police Court from 1856, the Water Police Station from 1858 and the Police Court built in 1886. The displays were informative showing artifacts, photos, stories and exhibits from the past. We were fortunate to have our President, Brian regale us with some stories from his time on the force in that very building in 1973. After the tour we battled the crowds in the nearby food-court and then dispersed home. Thanks to Keri for organising and Jean for keeping us in line on the day.
