Spurred on by the Book Group's recent book of the month "Mrs Hopkins" by Shirley Barrett, a tale based on the unfortunate times endured by the girls and staff of the Cockatoo Island home for girls. The tour of the island was enjoyed by all who attended on a beautiful sunny day.
