I’ve really enjoyed the new friends I’ve made during my time as a Probus member. Everyone is caring and willing to share travel ideas as well as their life experiences. The many and varied outings have been exciting, educational and socially satisfying............Sue Herbert
We joined Bangor Probus the first meeting it commenced. In our retirement we have widened our circle of friends considerably due to the numerous outings and holidays we have enjoyed with Probus. We look forward to many more years of friendship in the future.........Anne and Arthur Clarke
I conduct many of the 250 Group activities – this means $2.50 for a Senior to travel on public transport for the day. These activities have proved very popular with members, with anything up to 35 attending on the day. I really enjoy providing the opportunity for our members to get out and socialise whilst attending a venue (eg Paddington Reservoir Gardens) or a designated activity (eg “The Hidden Lanes of Sydney” walking tour). The positive feedback from members has been overwhelming. One aspect of Bangor Probus Club I really enjoy is the number of members who move at the conclusion of the Monday meeting to have lunch at the Bangor Tavern over the road. This gives another aspect to the club. We enjoy the meeting with a guest speaker and then extend into further social contact over lunch..........Clive Houldin

We love being members of Bangor Probus. We've made some wonderful new friends and reunited with people we've known for years in our community. Being involved gives us lots of new opportunities through the variety of special interest groups. I joined the Bangor Probus Club approximately 18 months ago. In that time I have enjoyed outings, walks, lunches, theatre groups and of course the many and varied guest speakers at the monthly meetings. We joined Bangor Probus five years ago.. We were a little tentative joining a club out of our area and quite surprised when we found that we knew some people in the club. In our first year we tried to attend most outings so we could get to know people better. In our second year we dived in head first and joined the Social Committee. This was the best thing we could ever have done. We got to know most members of the club and certainly had a great time assisting in the organisation of activities and outings. We have met some wonderful friendly people, have had some fantastic times and lots of laughs. Most importantly we have made some wonderful friends.
